Age
Only applicants born on or after October 01, 1995 are eligible. Date of birth as recorded in the Secondary Education Board / University Certificate [Class X or equivalent] or any certificate issued by the Government authorities only will be taken as authentic.
Academic Eligibility
Applicant must have passed the qualifying examination, i.e. Senior Secondary [10+2] or equivalent [See Appendix I] from any system of education as recognized by the Association of Indian Universities(www.aiuweb.org).
AND
Applicant should have completed successfully Mathematics, Physics and one of the subjects from (Chemistry, Biotechnology, Computer Science, Biology) in 11th AND / OR 12th, as applicable in the respective boards.
AND
Applicant must have secured a minimum of at least 60% aggregate marks (average of all subjects of qualifying examination taken together) or 6.50 CGPA (on a 10 point scale) or equivalent in the qualifying examination. In case, CGPA on a different scale is awarded OR if only grades are awarded, percentage/CGPA equivalence provided by the principal examination authorities will only be considered. Applicants appearing for the qualifying examination with the above-mentioned subjects in the academic year 2019-20 and expecting their final results latest by September 15, 2020 may also apply.
AND
Applicant should have a minimum total valid score of 1800 in SAT Subject Tests (Subjects: Mathematics Level 2, Physics and Chemistry). SAT subject test score has to be sent directly through College Board to NITK Surathkal.
Residential Requirement
All foreign nationals studying in any country including India or Indian nationals studying abroad who fulfill prescribed admission criteria shall be eligible.
Prescribed admission criteria for Indian Nationals shall be at least two years of education, inclusive of 11th & 12th or equivalent (not beyond), in a foreign country during the last 8 years and must pass the qualifying examination from abroad.
Academic Eligibility
Applicants must have passed the qualifying examination i.e. Four/Five year undergraduate programme in Engineering/Technology or equivalent in relevant discipline for M.Tech./M.Arch./M.Plan./M.Des./MURP and an appropriate UG degree for MBA programme from any stream of education recognized as equivalent by the Association of Indian Universities (www.aiuweb.org) / UGC (www.ugc.ac.in) / AICTE (www.aicte-india.org) / other statutory bodies as applicable.
AND
Must have secured a minimum of at least 60% aggregate marks or 6.50 CGPA on a 10 point scale or equivalent in the qualifying examination. In case, CGPA on a different scale is awarded OR if only grades are awarded, percentage/CGPA equivalence provided by the principal examination authorities will only be considered. Applicants appearing for the qualifying examination in the academic year 2020-21 and expecting their final results latest by September 15, 2020 may also apply. Some M.Tech. Programmes have special conditions for eligibility which are listed on the DASA website www.dasanit.org. The applicant has to check these conditions and he/she will be responsible for satisfying these conditions.
AND
Must have a valid minimum total of 300 GRE Revised General Test Score (Verbal + Quantitative) (GRE General tests taken on or after August 01, 2018) for eligibility for M.Tech./M.Arch./M.Plan./M.Des. and minimum of 480 GMAT Test Score for MBA programme. . GRE test score has to be sent directly through ETS to NITK Surathkal. GMAT Score is also to be sent directly from GMAC to NITK Surathkal. GRE and GMAT test scores received till June 28, 2020 only will be considered for preparation of merit list.

Foreign Nationals, PIOs, OCIs who have completed undergraduate programme in any country (including India).
OR
Indian Nationals who have completed their undergraduate programme outside India.
OR
Indian Nationals who have acquired NRI status and holding it for the last three years after obtaining undergraduate degree from India.
OR
Indian Nationals who have completed undergraduate programme in any CFTI under the DASA Scheme.
OR
Indian Nationals who have completed undergraduate programme in India but have completed their 11th and 12th standard (or equivalent) from outside India.

Welcome to DASA 2020
The admissions to various UG and PG programmes of premier Institutes of India under the DASA scheme will be coordinated by National Institute of Technology Karnataka, Surathkal, India for the year 2020-21.
In view of the Notification, F.No. 37-2/2020-TS.III, Government of India, Ministry of Education (Shiksha Mantralaya) Department of Higher Education, dated 22nd October, 2020, approving the proposal of DASA Core Committee (2020-2021) vis-a-vis the recommendation to remove the condition of 60% aggregate marks or 6.50 CGPA in the qualifying examination from the academic eligibility criteria under the DASA Scheme, for the academic year 2020-2021, the last date for the submission of online application has been extended till 23.59 Hours of October 31, 2020. Spot round result is announced.
